Yes. We are conveniently located just one block from the Grove Street PATH station, which is also a major transit hub with multiple bus connections, making us easily accessible by public transportation.

Yes. We’ve partnered with SpotHero to make parking simple and affordable when visiting us. Parking options are available as close as one block away, and can be reserved in advance for a stress-free visit to The Metaphysical Shoppe.

No appointment is needed to visit the shop. Readings and services may require booking depending on availability and type.

Yes. Our space is welcoming to all levels, whether you are completely new or already experienced in spiritual practices.

Leashed furry companions are always welcome in our shop and we love seeing them! For clairvoyant / spirit channel readings, pets are not permitted in the reading room and may not be left unattended, so please plan accordingly.

Our practice is centered in Ifá, an ancient Yoruba tradition of wisdom, divination, and spiritual guidance rooted in West Africa. You may also hear related traditions referred to as Lucumí or Santería in the Caribbean, which developed from the same ancestral spiritual roots. We honor these lineages while focusing our work through Ifá.

Spiritual services are offered for insight, guidance, and personal reflection, and results may vary from person to person. While Vodou (often referred to as Voodoo) is a distinct spiritual tradition that shares some historical roots and parallel development with other African diasporic practices, it is not part of what we practice. Our work is centered in Ifá, an ancient Yoruba system of divination, wisdom, and spiritual guidance.

You’re welcome to take photos or videos of our space, but we kindly ask that you avoid capturing other customers, as many prefer to remain private. If you’d like to film or photograph anything in the store, please check in with a team member first so we can make sure everyone feels comfortable and respected.

Yes. The Metaphysical Shoppe eGift Cards are available for instant gifting or for scheduling a future delivery date. They are delivered digitally and can be used both in-store and online, making it an easy way to share a little magic.

We offer tarot readings, astrology readings, and clairvoyant / spirit channel readings, each designed to offer insight and guidance in different ways.

Our readings are performed by trained practitioners, including tarot readers and a High Priest who conducts clairvoyant and spirit channel sessions.

Filming and photography are allowed with permission, as long as other customers are not captured without consent. Please check in with our team before recording.

Yes. We host workshops and events regularly, with rotating offerings such as Tarot Paint & Sip and other seasonal experiences. Availability can be found through our booking page.

Many of our items are available for local pickup and delivery through DoorDash during business hours, depending on your location.

We also offer an online shoppe featuring a curated selection of our products, available for shipping across the 48 contiguous United States in celebration of our 65th year.

Not all in-store items are available online at this time. For our full selection, we invite you to visit us in-store. Many of our most popular items are available through DoorDash, and we will continue expanding our online shop over time to include more of our offerings.

Yes. You can receive your items through DoorDash delivery during business hours, depending on your location and their delivery range.

We also offer shipping for online orders across the 48 contiguous United States, and you will receive a notification once your order has shipped.

Yes. We offer free shipping on orders over $75 within the 48 contiguous United States.

Once your order is placed, please allow up to one week for processing before it ships or is prepared for delivery. You will receive a notification as soon as your order is on its way.

You may change or cancel your order as long as it has not shipped yet. Once an order has been processed for shipment, we are unable to make modifications.

We do not currently offer expedited shipping options. However, if your order is time-sensitive or for a special occasion, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow its journey to you.

All purchases are final. We do not offer returns or refunds for in-store or online purchases. If you have any concerns with your order, we encourage you to reach out to our team so we can help review the situation.

We offer readings throughout the week, with tarot readings available daily during select hours for walk-ins and appointments. Clairvoyant / spirit channel readings are only available on Saturday afternoons and must be booked in advance. You can view current availability and reserve your session through our booking system.

Tarot readings use symbolic cards to explore themes and guidance, while clairvoyant readings are intuitive and channel-based, offering insight through direct spiritual connection.

Our readings are spiritual in nature and rooted in traditional practices, but they are not tied to any single religion and are open to people of all beliefs.

Each reading offers a different approach, and the best choice depends on your questions and what kind of guidance you are seeking. Our team is always happy to help guide you toward the right fit.

You can book your appointment through our booking link. Most readings are available as walk-ins, but astrology readings and clairvoyant or spirit channel readings are by appointment only. We always recommend reserving ahead of time to ensure availability and secure your preferred time.

We currently offer select astrology readings remotely for clients who prefer or require a virtual session. However, certain services, including clairvoyant / spirit channel readings, are only available in person due to their ceremonial nature. We believe in-person sessions create the clearest and most grounded experience for this type of work.

No special preparation is needed. We recommend coming with an open mind and any questions or intentions you would like guidance on. You are welcome just as you are, and your reader will guide the rest of the experience with care and clarity.

Not at all. Whether you are tarot-curious or experienced, our readers will guide you through your session with care, clarity, and ease so you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Our clairvoyant readings are conducted by a High Priest trained in traditional divination practices in Nigeria. When it is your turn, you will be invited into the reading room and guided through the process step by step. You will be asked to remove your shoes, take a seat, and hold a stone in each hand as the reading begins.

Clairvoyant / spirit channel readings are not strictly timed, and some sessions may run longer than expected depending on the nature of the reading. While we do our best to stay on schedule, each reading is personal and unique, and we allow the time needed for it to unfold naturally. Once you are in the room, the focus is entirely on you and your experience.

Readings are typically one-on-one to ensure a private and focused experience. Clairvoyant and spirit channel readings are strictly one-on-one and do not allow additional guests. For other reading types, a guest may be permitted depending on the session, so we recommend contacting us in advance so we can guide you appropriately.

Our clairvoyant and spirit channel readings are not timed, as each session unfolds naturally based on your experience. Once you are in the room, the focus is entirely on you and your reading. On average, most sessions last between 45 minutes and one hour.

We do not allow recordings of readings. Each session is a personal, in-the-moment experience meant to be fully present and received as it unfolds.

We kindly ask that any cancellations or rescheduling be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Changes made within 48 hours, or missed appointments, may result in a forfeit of the appointment time and payment. We appreciate your understanding, as each session is reserved specifically for you.

Our products are offered as spiritual tools and curios meant to support intention, reflection, and personal practice. In accordance with legal requirements, we cannot make guarantees regarding outcomes or effects, and any metaphysical properties should be considered traditional or allegorical in nature. Many customers use them as part of their own spiritual routines and personal rituals. All items are sold as a “curio” only.

We recommend arriving on time so you can fully experience the event. Entry after the start time may be limited depending on the workshop flow.
